    • Gordon Parks was certainly my hero, and to many others. Everything that these brothers described gave us a hint as to how crucial his achievements were to our development as young artists/young black man. He lived a full life and I thank God that I was able to discover him.

    • Mr. Man, It's been a while. Great job. I see you are branching out into other fields of interest, this is the kicker of course. Very important! Looking forward to working with you in the future. 1love johny aka Juakali

    • Anastasia,

Thanks for the clarification. How about a recommendation? If the "greenlight" is now moot, how about another option, like "recommended"? I know someone would have to redesign the site, but maybe it's worth it...

    • Hey DJ K One. Part of the reason it only has 4 greenlights is because we optioned it right away. We do that when a piece is strong and the subject matter is timely as in the recent death of Gordon Parks.

    • Hey man, I can't believe this only got 4 greenlights out of 117 views.

Big ups, and I do mean BIG UPS for this piece. Keep doing your thing man. I wish I still could greenlight this one. Nice reeeal nice.

    • Some 113 views and 4 "greenlights"?

Intelligent, articulate interviews; nice interplay between the beautiful still photographs and the tributes.

What may be lacking, may be impossible. If you want to talk about Hollywood feature films and how Parks got through the door, why not talk to his producers? I know. Dollars. But why not contact the producers on "Shaft," Joel Freeman and David Golden? Call the Producers' Guild. Another filmmaking critique, please avoid photographing the backs of people's heads.

An effective, moving tribute. Once the sound is mixed and the music is added, it'll be brilliant.
