    • i think the reason this feels like an infomercial is that both the hypnotherapist and his client talk directly to the camera as if they are presenting the piece - for a bit of the hypnotherapist's interview you have an angle just offset from his gaze, which i think could've been used throughout the film.

      it's nicely put together though, and i totally agree about it seeming slightly like an erotic film...!

      if you're interested in hypotherapy, in a month or two i'll be submitting a pod on hypnotism, although the academic/experimental side of it rather than therapy/stage.

    • I thought you shot this very well. It was a little infomercial, but I didn't think it was too much... it didn't keep me away. (like I said shot well)

    • GL But I think it comes off as a long ad for the good doctor. Way too repetitive. "Good and relaxing" is all we hear over and over. I think this pod would benefit from a few disbelievers who might help to create a context other than a sales pitch :) If that isn't possible than shorter is better. eg use his voice over the massage of the client and cut the repetition.

      I hope this is constructive and helpful. I GL'd because I think the content is interesting.
