Wasted Britain - Bristol crack den - On Current TV

hlrob
One of our most shocking documentaries to date, where British filmmakers gain access to a regularly used crack den in Bristol. Young and old, we see one woman who lost her leg to her addiction come back to get her fix amongst the dirt and used syringes found in the abandoned warehouse.

Wasted Britain is an hour-long documentary investigation into Britain’s ever-growing drug and alcohol use. From booming new trends such as university students using 'smart pills', to the disturbing reality of life in a Bristol crack den, this is raw and unflinching documentary at its best from our dedicated British filmmakers.

Wasted Britain, Sky 183 and Virgin 155.

    • i live in Bristol and was a crack and heroin addict for 20 years till i lost my kidneys to dirty drugs. I know all the people in this video and knew the guy smoking the pipe with pony tail and mustash. He has died since of a stroke "GOD REST HIS SOUL" The drug scene in Bristol was,is and will be for a long time totaly out of control and so widespread it is sad. This video is a true representation but the real truth is so much worse. Amputees are common and you can't walk down "STOKES CROFT" for instance without seeing at least 5 drug addicts. Bristol is a lovely city but it also destroyed my life which was so vastly different before drugs that people who knew me till i was 20 years old would not believe this is me. I don't know how things will improve but they can't get any worse. Sorry Bristol.

    • This looks raw. The reality or heroin and crack addiction for most people is miles away from the glamorized image of rock stars and the glitterati living it up as portrayed in the mass media. Its refreshing to see the story from the actual users point of view.

    • I used to live in Bristol and it did seem to have a high drug use rate. There is a huge abandoned building in Stoke's Croft that was always rumoured to be a crack den so i wonder if that's the one in the video. I'll be checking it out for sure

    • This looks incredible, it's not often you see such raw footage of real people struggling with their addiction, instead of politicians and 'experts' giving their opinions.
