Well working with the wolves and the people from the wolf sanctuary really changed my perspective about them. A lot of people for centuries have been raised to think that wolves just want to eat you or kill you because they are wild, but wolves are one of the last creatures in the wild that would kill you.
      1) they are extremely scared of humans because for centuries humans have been hunting then to extinction and for the fun of it just ask Sarah Palin.
      2) Wolves only will hunt the weak and the diseased.
3)They would rather have a fat old dear then a skinny human.

Wolves even have saved people and children from dangerous situations or has taken them as part of the pack. http://www.feralchildren.com/en/index.php

Also at the sanctuary they taught me what to do if you encounter a wolf in the wild.
      1) Don't look big and scary or they will get defensive.
      2) Sit on your knees and don't look in their eyes or they can sense the fear.
      3) Try not to show any fear they can sense it. Even if you are wounded if you stay less in fear then they know you are strong at heart.
      4) put the palm of your hand out and wait until the alpha female or male smells you and licks your hand.
If the wolf licks your hand then you have passed the inspection and can be there friend.

The other wolves in the pack cannot do anything to you unless it has orders from the alpha for them to do so. If the others in the pack still don't trust you then stick next to the alpha that accepted you if you are following them and you will be ok.

      Thanks! :)

    • Has anybody here ever known anyone with a hybrid-wolf? Just looking at them, you can tell that they should never be pets. There's too much instinct there for us to control. They really have "I will eat you" in their eyes. It makes me sick that a lot of people get them just so they can tell people it's part wolf.

Humans can't even handle wolves responsibly in the wild, let alone in our homes. Christ, why can't we just leave something on this planet be what it is? We always have to fuck with things until we fuck them up. Live and let live is my motto.

Great story though. I'm glad that someone's giving them a little respect at least.
