Daring to laugh in an environment too often regarded with fear, Sabour challenges us to find the heart and soul of Afghanistan in the everyday lives of its people. The result is a journey of remarkable stories, breath taking landscapes and the day-to-day oddities of one of the most dangerous countries in the World.

During the series, Sabour auditions for Afghan Idol, tracks down the Taliban, experiences some of the local medical remedies, spars with the Afghan female boxing team, has a go at wrestling, meets dozens of local people, and travels across one of the most epic and dangerous landscapes in the world. Extreme Tourist: Afghanistan is a series that opens the door on the new Afghanistan; taking the viewer beyond the myths to reveal a gripping account of life in an amazing country.

    • This show should be shown on all main channels in the UK.Then people can see what the people of Afghanistan are really about and that they are all not extremists...As one man said "the west media report all the bad stuff and not the good"....
