Should have chosen his words better.
He could have phrased that any number of different ways, but he chose those racially charged words to make his statement. If he hadn't used those words, this would have never been a Fixed Noise issue.
He negated his point by saying it in that manner.

i mean yeah the wording is potentially offensive and it's prly not something you should really say publicly but he was keeping it real. his point made total sense and the analogy made perfect sense with it.
and the news guy was being a 200% a hole... he dnt have 2 get all personal.
its not like nader had much of a career left 2 spoil anyways

I do have to say I'm liking this Shepard Smith a little more these days. He got all in Ralph's ass on this one and tore Joe the Plumber a new one for is comments on Israel. Where did Shepard find a conscience?

I honestly don't think Nader meant it in a malicious manner. I just think it was a poorly worded sound bite that the media had their way with. If you listen to his explanation and know anything about Barack's financial policy/history with corporations you'll see what Nader is alluding to.

His basic criticism may be valid, but the Uncle Tom bit, that's mean-spirited and unsophisticated. He could make his point without the racist venom.

Ignorance ad spite are powerful things and there is no way he can make such a negative and blatantly racist comment positive by attempting to shift it context.

If only he were as careful about what he says as he is about what manufacturers sell us.
