"And what do you want to do when you're older?" asked the kindly school careers adviser back in 1986.
"Well, ideally I'd like to work in a chicken factory for a number of years before going on a national TV talent show where I'll perform a cover of Aqua's 'Barbie Girl' and The Bee Gee's 'Tragedy' to showcase my range of falsetto and 'gruff'.
