    • The real question is if this strain is going to follow the typical behavior (infection model) pattern for a flu or if it will obey the pandemic model.

The first one indicates it will die down for about 6-12 months, then reappear mutated and possibly stronger.

The second model isn't as well known but it is believed to be a continuous spread of infection among the population.

    • Everyone that has taken an immunology course has seen this coming. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the flu from World War I. The avian flu was supposed to be similar to the that flu, but we seemed to have controlled or forgotten about it.

I am Optimistic; we can fix this problem. Good thing the 8 mentioned in the video survived.

Found an interactive map on the Sky News website of where the suspected and confirmed case of Swine flu, along with deaths.

    • One more reason to build the fence. I love how this is being called an "outbreak" when there are only EIGHT confirmed cases. Anything to report, I hate the network news so fucking much, shit like this always throws the masses into a shit fit, over nothing.

    • Great. You know what's going to happen now? People all around the country are going to be running into hospitals in fear that they have Swine Flu. Happens every time there's some new disease on the news. Its terrible that this happened, but I wouldn't be surprised if its put some people into a panic in areas that would be one of the last to get it.

    • Best read up on alternative therapies , for a fighting chance . I may have the flu right now , ( my son just got over it ) . Herbal remedies , homeopathic remedies, and a sauna , so far , not so bad . It may well work for the swine flu . Viruses , often cannot reproduce as well when exposed to heat , especially early in the onset , ( hence the fever ) .

    • there's a possible outbreak in NYC. 75 high school students came down with flu like symptoms...all are getting tested. freaking scary to be thinking of a pandemic right now.
