A National Institutes of Health study from November 2007 found that in youth with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, the brain matures in a normal pattern.

Do you know anyone with ADHD?

    • This is rather ground breaking to me. My youngest son has adhd and without a handle on how it worked like this gives there was no real solid methodology to helping them cope without resorting to medication (my son is not medicated thankfully).

This now puts a much clearer image as the reasoning and how to approach the kids who have it more effectively.

I'll be calling our family Dr on monday morning to ask him about this. :)

    • I had ADD, and had to learn to think entirely differently just to keep up with my friends. I would like to find out what the deal is with adult ADD.

Just a couple of years when I was doing college study as late as 07. I was medicated for ADD just to concentrate in class and to be able to study, etc.

I am still treated for ADD but with different medications so I can watch tv, or keep up with a movie without a remote in my mind distracting me to the point of not being able to think about it...

      Anyone know anything about this?
