Pujols angered at La Russa for All-Star benching

So yesterday I forecasted that this was the year for the National League to win the All-Star game. Obviously Tony La Russa didn't want that to happen. By benching Albert Pujols in the ninth inning he gave the National League a defeat on the worst terms imaginable. He may as well have picked the guy in the picture I used in this clipping. No pujols no all-star game and another year of waiting for the National League to find a manager that wants to win.

  • As a die-hard Cardinals fan I just didn't get it. Why oh why would you not play one of the best hitters in the game? Having dealt with LaRussa since a kid growing up in MO he seems to always have a reason for his nutty ways. I just hope it helps us to the playoffs.
