This is great idea, don't know if it would fly in LA though. You'd probably get your park towed.

I don't mean to be a downer here, but as someone that has spent up to an hour and a half looking for a spot before, I'd have absolutely no problem parking my car in these so-called PARKs!

Yeah, if they try to do this in the ChinaNob there's gonna be three crazy old ladies perched in front of it with their blinkers on staring it down within 5 minutes.

Speaking from an LA point of view ... Unless I can drive my car through the parks to save time in a commute ... I hope someone parks a hummer right on top of one of these ‘parks’

And even more so in SF where there is a good deal of public park space set aside by the city, this reeks of a self indulgent 'look at me I’m cool' protest.

Speaking from an LA transplant point of view... I love the idea and hope to take part in the festivities this Saturday.

So this means I get to park my car on a cushy, comfy bed of grass?

    SWEET.

There's a PARK(ing) crew setting up one of these 'parks' on King Street right now. The theme for this one is a putting green. In front of the Giant's Dugout Store. Check it out!

Sarah and I were just out there shooting the spot at 128 King St. on a Flip-- it was super fun. Sarah's going through the footage right now and we'll have it up in a bit. You should go check it out and play a round of mini golf. It's like a block party, except it's a parking spot party...
