Along with Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa, Tom Ze, and Os Mutantes founded tropicAlong with Gilberto Gil, Gal Costa, Tom Ze, and Os Mutantes founded tropicália movement. Every album he did up until 1972 (the year he returned to Brazil after exile) are bona fide classics. His autobiography, Tropical Truth, is one of the best rock biographies ever.
