The free ride is over. 95% of you are behaving poorly. As of now, you will all follow the Rules of Conduct in Movie Theaters. These rules apply to everyone, but particularly to teenagers, people with children, and the elderly. We will also enumerate the General Guidelines for Non-Disruptive Behavior, and end with a brief summary that will be printed out and handed to all theater customers.

I think the advent of home movies really lead to the lack of consideration for others and bad conduct in movie theaters. There is always someone in the theater who acts like they are watching a movie in the own home.

during the silent film era, what made a true cine experience was in fact the audience's participation in talking, LOL'ing, yelling in anticipation, etc. Now the tables have turned, and we go as silent sponges, merely to absorb.
