Music
Okay, long story short: This video features a young Jason Lee ("My Name is Earl") in his pro-skating Hayday. This video is also a tribute to Henry Rollins best friend Joe Cole, who was murdered in front of him. This tragic event was discussed by Rollins in the Current Question here in the Chemosphere. Lee plays the dead Joe discovered by cops in this video as well as skating, and is his first on screen "acting" which would eventually catapult him to superstardom. It also features couch moshing, which is pretty darn fun!

Kim is just the coolest. I once saw Sonic Youth, Social Distortion and Neil Young at the Buffalo Civic Auditorium. Great show. I loved the juxtaposition of the crowds and the irony of the guys who were there to see Neil Young aghast at Thurston Moore smashing his Stratocaster. They couldn't believe someone would do that to a perfectly good guitar. Then I reminded them of the fine musicians of their day who did the exact same thing (The Who, Jimi Hendrix, etc). Lots of "aww... yeah"s and "but that was different"s. Whatever. Keep on smokin', dudes.

And now he's the voice of Underdog. The lame, did-it-for-the-paycheck voice of Underdog. C'mon, Jason--wasn't Earl enough?

Well, he did join the Scientologists, so I'm positive that had something to do with that. He's very rapidly going from the awesome character in the Kevin Smith films to some sort of edgy cross-breed of Tom Cruise and John Travolta :(

The first time Rollins came to Current it was the anniversary of Joe Cole's murder.
