  • Nice objective treatment. Much of today''s corportate owned media jades the reporting, rendering the resulting report as nothing more than useless PR material. Thanks for keeping it objective.

  • Christopher Putzel,

You would make a Nazi proud. While trying to prove that the United States did not use white phosphorous, you act as if somehow that makes the massacre in Fallujah okay.
You said that the Italian film damaged the image of the United States. You are mistaken; the United States has damaged its own image. The U.S. helped Saddam into power and supported him strategically and financially when he was committing his worst atrocities. Through sanctions, two invasion bombings and destruction of the infrastructure and the use of depleted uranium (resulting in deformed babies and contaminated land), at least a million have died. Saddam Hussein was put on trial; when will his American collaborators be put on trial for their war crimes? Because those responsible for the 3-5 million died from the bombings of Vietnam and Cambodia were not prosecuted, the U.S. continues to illegally intervene with other countries affairs, not only in the Middle East, but in Asia, Africa, and South America..

I have no problem you investigating how the Iraqis were killed, but at least acknowledge the war crimes of the Untied States. I wonder, would you be willing to do the same kind of investigation of the Holocaust or is that topic off limits?

  • This pod will go down in history as the first-ever Current Controversy. Christof does a great job in fleshing out such a complicated topic. It's a great example of how one person's comment on our site can lead to an exploration of a deeper issue.
