Robert Zelliger's look at Egyptian youth culture shows two conflicting cultural forces, the omnipresent glimmer of western culture and the conservative bedrock of Islam that scorns it.

Another persecutive on the middle east - a bit more serious and religious in nature.
Is it the whole truth, a part of the truth or propaganda? What do you think?

You got to consider that Materialisms and Islam are two opposite religions believing in the exact opposite things. One teaches you to follow your desires and the other desires you to follow Allah and his Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). There is a obvious clash but I feel that the teaches of Islam will set one free rather that being a consumer. All these material things are made from duct and will eventual turn back into dust. Just like us we are made from ground and we will buried into the ground. Maybe we need a closer look at what Islam and Materialism really teaches before we get all judgmental.
