When I lived in Japan, which is all my school years pretty much and longer... Uniforms were the norm. You see groups of girls and boys walking around in them, what's the big deal? In private American schools, uniforms are worn.

I found overwhelmingly that I liked uniforms, when I had a school that had them, because I didn't have to pick out what to wear in the morning and everyone fit in.

Cliques were minimal. I don't remember anyone being upset about school dress regs. I know I wasn't.

Americans have a knee-jerk response to hate anything that is for everyone to do... i.e. uniforms. Like it makes freedom impossible. Actually in school I was more free than in others.

BTW I am American, girl next door... ya know.

This is more typical for high school.
They add a jacket for winter.

    Personally I think this rocks.
