    This is an incredible story. I had no idea that that many animals had to be put to sleep simply because there are too many. What other steps should be taken to deal with this very real problem? More animal shelters? Education for breeders / pet-owners?

    This was a really well done video. It gets to the point with a good mix of fact and emotion and it doesn't run too long. Great vid.

    In response to dgreene, i don't think a fur trade would be positive. Selling the furs would open up and expand an economy for the buying and selling of furs domestically and eventually internationally. It'll eventually lead to people purposely killing dogs an cats for the money the fur would bring, instead of killing the animals for a lack of space. I just found a story on this site about dog and cat fur farms in China, if you wanna check that out.

    It's too bad that we have to be reminded about this subject so often. It's a disgrace how irresponsible we've become. I feel horrible for the poor woman that has to do this "dirty work".
