Excellent piece. I like the way it cuts through all the political/military manoeuvrings surrounding Iraq and goes straight to the people.

It''s nice to see a a view point about life in the Middle East that you are not likely to see from America''s mainstream media.

This pod reminded me of another pod, Fleeing to Jordan, which looks at Iraqi refugees who have fled to neighboring Jordan.

very nice video, I visited jaramana this summer, its a very depressing neighborhood

I thought this was a great piece. I am surprised it was from 2007 - thought it looked pretty current. I would love to see more about the enger and how they feel towards americans. I thought the scene in the street and the interview with theguy who lost his had was the most intereting and moving part.
Also on 60 minutes there was a piece on Iraqi Christians that was incredibly eye opening - did you guys spend any time looking at that issue.
thanks for what you guys do!

Another amazing piece. This is something mainstream media doesn't show us. It really brings the human element to war.
Mariana, do you get scared in all these remote places? Thanks for your bravery. -
It's sad to learn that many of these refugees — especially the young ones that may have supported Saddam's overthrow — live such lives of fear and desperation. What's most tragic is that these Iraqis are not allowed safe haven in the United States. For America to do so would be to state the obvious: in terms of bloodshed, there is no end in sight.

With so many of then being displaced we can only hope for this war to end soon so they can go back to a peaceful home.
