It's not a mystery that intolerance BREEDS insecurity. This short film is a real story -- perhaps mine, perhaps the one of someone close to me -- told through the voice of another. The thoughts of a man so ashamed and frustrated with an integral part of his makeup -- his sexuality -- that he isn't willing to face the camera and tell it himself. We've apparently come so far... yet not if you're too lazy to walk.

Why was this not a semifinalist? Well, I guess it doesn''t really have much relevance as far as societal impact... but WOW, it was impressive. Very moving, even to this straight man.

What a powerful video. I caught most of it but did not actually realize that it was about being homosexual (maybe it wasn''t). I''m 60 years old and watch Current often and encourage my grown kids to watch it for the social impact it has on our thinking. Watching this video brought back all kinds of memories of growing up and how I felt every day about my strange personality and shortcomings and inability to reveal my idiosyncracies. While I''m a successful nurse, married and mother of 4, the feelings expressed in this video still live with me. I too would like to know if there is a transcript, I wanted to send it along to my son who has struggled with his own ADDH and addictions he is trying to overcome.
