im sorry, but the mormon faith is so utterly ridiculous. you go to hell if you practise same-sex attraction? first off, how can you prevent a chemical attraction, secondly, there is no such place as hell, it's a made up place invented to perpetuate fear and control.

This story shows how far humanity has come, and how far we still need to. National Coming Out day is keeping up the good fight, and so is every person who comes out of the closet like Cody. As they say, "We're here! We're queer! Get used to it!"

Thanks for making this film in a mature, responsible, and open minded way. I'm Christian (Mormon) and have gay relatives and appreciate the emphasis on the understanding and love that most members of the church have for the homosexual community.

Attacking the LDS church for not conforming its doctrine is what is ridiculous (awarmington). It is a very sensitive and complicated subject, and in my experience the majority of Mormons do NOT believe that homosexuals are simply going to hell. Lets not make quick accusations but informed and respectful discussions.

Great pod. I had a similar experience with my Southern Baptist family.

I feel that a lot of people are able to hold tight to their prejudices simply because they've never met a well-adjusted gay person. Once that happens people tend to humanize it in a way that moves beyond whatever belief they were clinging to.

Thanks again, and best of luck.
