  • Kiva.org is changing the world one community at a time. This is a relatively RISK-FREE way to help those who need it most. How would you feel if you had a viable business that caould enable you to take care of your family and live your life with as much ease as possible and all you need is a little start of cash that you will PAY BACK?! Kiva is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

  • I loaned about $100 or so through Kiva last year and it's been repaid already and I reloaned it again...splitting the donations between various small businesses. A little goes a long way...and the investment is multiplied ten-fold in good karma! Try it. You'll LOVE it.

  • great piece, and great program to help the poorest of the poor. i work in the finance world and see a lot of big money greed, and while there are genuinely good people who want to help others, it is still very refreshing to see the poor being serviced by microcredit programs

  • Fantastic pod.

I can honestly say I hadn't even heard of Kiva until I viewed this, and now I'm for sure going to check it out and put a loan/donation towards something in the future.

it's amazing to see how little amounts of money can add up over time through multiple individuals, and truly help others do what they want to do in life.

  • lib, great to hear your connection to this great organization. I found KIVA through reading the book "World Changing"

A year ago, after I started donating to KIVA, I flipped on my TV and there it was! This pod! On CurrentTV! I was thrilled! I think it was the day after I joined KIVA and made my first donation. It is such a wonderful feeling to get an e-mail every couple of months that says a little bit about each business you helped. It usually comes on a day when I am wondering "am I doing anything useful?"

  • this has got to be one of the coolest ideas for humanatarianism that has ever been put into play. after seeing this pod i am definitly going to try it. i cant think of a better way to reach out to people who would do anything to have what i have. things we take for granted, as john said "instant karmas gonna get you".
