Steam On The Snow

This pod is very well done and I am glad to see it on TV! The sound, lighting, and camera work are all solid. The only thing I didn't like was that at times, it played like a skateboarder's/snowboarder's demo reel. I would've liked to see more of her practicing routines as well. Overall though, this pod is excellent. Good job!

I agree with ajankowski1 in that I would have loved to see more footage of her outside of the competition. The pod, as much as it focuses on Gretchen, doesn't end up revealing a bunch of her character. While we get a lot of nice sound bites from her interview, we don't see enough of her interaction with fellow snowboarders or community members and don't hear enough from other people, so what we end up with is a very one sided view of Gretchen. However, that's who this pod is all about, and by having her do most of the talking we get a good sense of how she identifies herself, her past, her community support, and her thoughts about snowboarding. A little more material outside of the interview may have just added another dimension to her character.
