When you mix Austin, Texas and adult skateboarders with carpentry skills, you get some of the most amazing backyard skateboard structures in America.

The Banana Farm and the Death Star are both over. The Banana Farm's landlord had it bulldozed and the Death Star was torn down for insurance reasons. However there is a new ramp in Austin born from what was left of those two ramps... I saw it in construction a month or two ago and the guys were talking about calling it the Pecan Bowl. Not sure if that stuck.
Allison Muir co-produced this pod. We produced Texas Sized Ramps in conjunction with an Austin Skate Notes pod that died with the Yahoo! Current Project, and the Michael Sieben Pod, Skulls and Snakes:

This is a photo of Shannon LeBoeuf, a former B-Farm resident who is also in the Thumbnail for the this pod. He's skating the new ramp in Austin that formed like Voltron from the remains of the Banana Farm, the Death Star, and The Ark (a ramp in Lake Charles, LA). Dan Barnett from Seattle's Marginal Way shot the pic. Check out what Marginal Way is all about here:

I thought this pod did a nice job of highlighting skateboarding in an area I hadn't ever thought of as having it. I also liked the way they named all the various parts of their ramps. A+ for highlighting that.

Wow this is really cool, I just started skateboarding again and I was planning on building my own ramp. This has definitely helped keep me going.
