I've always found the term 'fashionista' interesting...you'd think that fashion designers would design nicer looking clothes too.

...what? what does that mean?
can italian women not be fashionistas? perhaps they're born with a fashion gene that somehow soars above the mere standards of an American fashionista....
or wait, does fashionista mean something offensive in italian? -
yep yep.... just looked it up, and my last guess was correct: fashionista, is also an italian slang for- lush who dresses like a burlesque dancer.
...bizarre. -
