that political consultant reminds me of a young al pacino!!! was he ever in any movies???. he looks familiar!!!! -
In terms of the political consultant looking like Al Pacino, I 100% agree. Actually, he has the look of an actor in Hollywod!

With all the talk of diversity in this piece there were no Black Latinos interviewed. This would have amplified the African American complaint because even though Black Latinos speak Spanish they still are discriminated against. Overall the piece was a good excuse to interview good looking white Latinas in bikinis.

There are some great honest responses here. I''d be happy to hear more about the wealthy immigrants and what role they play in defining the culture & community.
I also invite you to check out my first pod, We Create. -
This pod was shot with our favorite camera, the Panasonic DVX-100. Making journalism look like an art film (and of course the scenic Miami backdrop doesn't hurt, either).

Also of note... Adrian Baschuk makes a Cameo in this pod (He lent us the camera too!) what a rockstar...

Indeed, J. The opening shot there is from the Rickenbacker Causeway heading to Key Biscayne. Miami is rarely photoed from that spot and yet, I think, it's the sickest view.
Always, always, seeks out alternative shots for stuff on Current. -
Most people don;t know but Miami Beach and Miami are two different cities. Most of this pod was shoot on Miami Beach

nice pod. i like that you talked to so many people, and got some different perspectives. kind of sad that most people you interviewed only view third world people as immigrants. what about all of the earlier, and ongoing waves of european immigrants? interesting...
-
I agree with you Gregory7222 that's true how people think they are the same.
And it's true that if you can't speak Spanish it's hard to go out in Miami itself. There's a city that is maybe the majority of Latins live there, Hialeah. Cubans, Venezuelan, Colombian, and more lives in this area.
In Hialeah if you can't speak Spanish it's hard to conduct business there. But then again in South Florida you have to be at least bilingual.
This was a great pod, with different views from a diverse group of people. Good job!
