I love him in "The People vs. Larry Flynt". He played Arlo.

Just watch it.

I got to see Crispin's entire slideshow and his first film "What is It?" the night i approached him about doing a piece for Current. If you want to catch him click the link to find out where he'll be; it's quite an experience. Go see it, and in the immortal words of Rob Base "don't like it? So what, i don't care".

When I first watched this pod on cable, I flipped out. I wish there were a way I could quadruple-bookmark it.
Like the pod's producer, I am a huge fan of Mr. Glover's book signing/slideshow/reading/movie tour. Although the movie "What Is It?" is certainly challenging for a game audience--and impossible for a mainstream one--Mr. Glover asks a lot out of his audience, and he raises a lot of questions.
For instance: What should an adult be allowed to willfully watch? What is a movie? What is a narrative? For whom, exactly, do we make movies? How do you fund one? How do you make money back? How do you quantify a film's worth? Who decides what the mainstream may and may not watch?
Crispin Glover's points are all timely, relevant, and pertinent, particularly in an age in which the MPAA counts the number of f-words to determine a rating, and the rating is inextricably bound into matters of funding and distribution.

I think he's all over the place. He's everywhere but nowhere almost all at the same time. Seeing pieces of the film they showed in the pod I thought of the scene of Willy Wonka on the boat in the chocolate river with the odd film playing on the walls.
Asking questions just to ask questions without having a point to get at is kind of a waste of air and thinking capacity.
Glover is an enigmatic person in a good way. I am interested in what he thinks and this movie was interesting in concept---visually I was not interested.
The pod was good...I liked it. I saw that it was coming up and decided to watch it. I was not disappointed.

Does anyone know the title of the song playing in the background that starts around 3:45?
