There were two kinds of milk served in this Mauritanian desert bar. One straight from the teat and another one that was left out fermenting for a few days. Both were delicious, believe it or not. The fermented one with sugar was one of the best drinks I've ever tried. I drank a whole bowl of it. Mmmm.
Camel meat, on the other hand, wasn't so great. But it might have been the sauna-like, insect-filled room it was stored in for days before a nice border policeman offered it to me.-
