Meet Dan, an American student studying in South Africa at the posh University of Cape Town. He has chosen to live in Langa, a poor black township outside of Cape Town. We'll see his world as he takes us on a tour through both campus and township life.

  • Great character profile. He seems so comfortable there. I walk away with a wrinkle in my brain with this piece. Great job.

  • Interesting piece. The only thing I didn't like was the title, which seemed to imply that Dan was living it rough. I know we all like to believe that townships are full of tin shacks and poverty, this film shows that just isn't true. Which isn't to ignore the problems, but it does show a fuller picture than the title suggests.
