    • This isn't Islamic Law, this is biased western propaganda, trying to yet again distort true Islam. I was expecting better from current tv but it seems like the majority of western media corporations are all biased propaganda machines. They are acting as if they are feeling sorry for the criminal who is being punished, he brought it on himself no one brings it upon you. The point is these punishments rarely ever happens which means the system works, which also means a clean society. Not a decaying one like western societies. Like they say the proof is in the pudding. Rape, Peadophalia, robberies/muggings, prostitution, extortion (by organised criminals and professional bankers) are all crimes which are commonplace in the west you hear about it near enough every week. Where those disgusting aren't even heard of in the Islamic world. If the west is so successful why does its societies produce such people anti-social people? People have to ask themselves that questions. And also they have to do their own research if they want to find the Truth about something important like this. Because if videos like these are the only sources for non-Muslims then God help them because they are being brainwashed.

    • there is also an islamic social rule: people are only supposed to eat with their right hand, and sahke other people right hands. the left hand is reserved for wiping your ass.

in regard the law where they cut off a thieves hand, they will cut off the right hand, serving as a double punishment.

    • At Vanguard we are tracking the forces that change and impact our world. Certainly the tension between more secular and more fundamentalist interpretations of faith has global consequences. Mara captures that in this pod, and its representative of Indonesia's larger sub-surface tension. It is the largest Islamic population in the world, and while mostly on the secular end of the spectrum, there are more radicalized elements that believe Indo should be ruled as an Islamic state.
