Joes getting country down south with some help from the likes of Mike Nichols and Moe Bandy. Can these southern entertainers turn our white Chicagoan rapper into a bona fide country singer? Youll have to find out in this hilarious "Joe Gets" pod.

Moe Bandy BluesJust imagine that you were a sheet metal worker in Adkins, Texas and you had a dream to become a big entertainer. In addition, just imagine every time you tried to reach that success, a very large door was slammed in your face. Imagine traveling all the way to Nashville four times with no luck, and being flat broke to boot. Can you even imagine that in the last attempt at the big times, you would pawn your entire household of furniture so that you might achieve your dreams? Well believe it or not, that is just the way it happened for Moe Bandy. Check out his official website for the rest of his sob story.

Dan Whitney Gets It FinishedFast realizing he would never entertain the likes of the Branson, Missouri crowd with his tales of his grandmother and her issues with worms, Dan Whitney changed his name to Larry, became a cable repairman, and lit the world on fire with his brand of lowest common denominator comedy! Git R Done!

If they cut out the lame attempts at Ali G/Borat style humor, this wouldn''t be so bad.

Achy Breaky HeartI remember being forced to linedance to this in elementary school gym class. This should qualify as cruel and unusual punishment.

Joe's trip to "Nashville II", where the "Where are they nows" go to build their own theaters and age profitably, reminds me why I'm never going to back to Branson.
I lived in nearby Lebanon (pronounce it "Leb-nin" or risk buckshot) when Branson was still just a draw for fishing around Bagnell Dam. It was peaceful with Ozark Mountain charm. Now? Think gaudy, times 3. Think white trash with cash. It's like living in a Ripley's Believe It Or Not museum, complete with it's own White Castle and U-Haul storage outlet .
Great pod. Very, very funny.
