France is one of the only Latin countries that boasts a vibrant fetish universe / subculture. Fetishism is mainly a Nordic European phenomenon, but France has its own special place in the fetish universe.
We wanted to take Current TV's viewers into the world of "Demonia," offering a personal and intimate look at this lifestyle. What defines the fetish/BDSM world? Is there often a sharp contrast between a person's activities/experiences in the fetish/BDSM world and what goes in their daily routine (personal and professional life)? We wanted this to be as real, upfront, and human as possible. We were not looking for the sensational aspect of the event.
This report was filmed on the evening of France's biggest Fetish soirée of the year: Nuit Demonia in Paris at the wildly popular three-story club La Locomotive (right next to the world-famous Moulin Rouge).
