Bonds has never tested positive for steroids and continues to deny that he ever knowingly took performance-enhancing drugs. Many people think otherwise however and believe that Bonds was able to beat Hank by using steroids. In fact, only 41% of people polled wanted Bonds to break the record and 87% believe that he used steroids at some point during his career.

Until the Baseball League gets serious about the players using illegal steroids, this controversy will always be there. If Bonds is truly innocent, then he should have offered to take tests all along the way and because he didn''t his record will always be under question. As far as the * next to his name in the record books: since the league doesn''t test for steroids, sadly it shouldn''t be there. It all comes back to the Baseball League stepping up and doing what all other professional team sports do.
Random testing should be done ESPECIALLY if a record as important as this one is in jeopardy. -

They should have never allowed a cheater to break Aaron''s record especially a lying cheater. Now he''ll be celebrated like some unsung hero and he''s nothing more than a lying cheat. Soon he''ll probably governor of some stupid state at least then he''ll be around people like himself - lying cheating politicians.
