Timelapse footage showing multiple fire breakouts traversing through the canyon. Shot in Thousand Oaks looking at Simi Valley, California on Thursday 29th of September 2005. Look for Mars, Orion & the Moon rising in the distance...

What awesome footage. It's so cool how you can see the moon rise up into the sky. As the moon begins to move up the sun starts to rise. SOOOO COOL!
-
Amazing....It's really neat to see the changes in the scene as sun rises!
-
wow. :)

fantastic footage
why leave it raw? add some titles and music.
But great job:
great idea to do it and flawless execution of timelapse photography. -
Would you like some "Fire" music?

Good Stuff, from a bad scene. But as others have mentioned it is a little quiet, in the audio dept.
-
Loved it. Time lapse is very difficult takes a commitment of many hours in the same place doing... well nothing but watching the fire. The moon and the lense flare added that extra touch. Audio would detract from the visual if you let yourself immerse you can almost hear the fire.

what kind of camera / lens was that shot with? its awesome!
-
some music would be nice in the background.
-
Amazing footage.

I love it, but agree with some of the comments above, particularly those about music (but just the right type of music). Also, perhaps some opening text to set the scene, and maybe something at the end for closure.

Hey thanks everybody for your compliments, thoughts and insights regarding audio. It was never intended to have a music score supplement the piece and I didn't want to take away from the visual aesthetic. I'd be more than happy to share some of the technical details of how this was created, just shoot me an email. Also, I've listened to your suggestions regarding audio, and I've decided to not only score the piece, but I've also added two other camera angles during the same period of time. Hope you like it, and thank you for the suggestions! ~Eli Jarra

A powerful piece! I bet it exhumes even more power on a big screen...Nice work!
