+he FUTURE BEAUTIFUL: Skewville

The Future Beautiful pays homage to the risk takers, the losers, the criminals; creatives who have gone beyond our definition of art. Take Skewville. In the 80s they wrote on walls in NYC. They decided change was necessary and a new medium was born with their sneaker mission. Since then thousands of wooden sneakers have been silk-screened, laced and tossed.

The srolling text is mighty difficult to read while you have so many images flashing in the background that demand my attention also. Otherwise good.

I agree with the post by hedoo about the scrolling text- I wanted to look at the pictures so much, but I kept going back and forth between the text and video- not sure what to watch better.. I thougth it was a great human interest story though- greenlighted!

I loved this! It had life, energy, passion, integrity....wasn't preachy, boring or over acted. Improvements? why don't we hear the interviewer's voice with comments or questions? It could be further deepened by comparison to the film Holes, based on the tossing of a pair of tennis shoes...
Overall, the best thing I've seen on this site, so far. Keep up the good work! -
Cool. Good concept. I like the black and white. I like the opening. The scrolling text is fine by me. That is how tv is nowadays. Watch E! or CNN. Or most other stations and you will see images with scrolling text. I think it works. A few times the sound was hard to hear when one of the guys was talking, but other than that I enjoyed it. Good graphics and music. Great job.

A lot of great shots mixed together in this piece... I enjoyed the visuals a lot :) Good editing. I liked the topic too since I'm a fan of street art myself.

Why is this not on yet? What are we waiting for?

I like the theme of challenging the gallery system. I love use of black and white and color. The only thing I would do is making the opening a little less busy.

Very nice to see a good piece on street art. I didn't really get that they had gone from graff to outsider art so much, only from reading the comments on the side. The scrolling text is a bit quick to read with the images in the background.
Nice piece though! I'd like to see it on air!-

I *REALLY* wanted to like this spot. I wanted to identify with this angst-ridden street artists.
He's a pretender.
He's too into the attention to hear any muse. He doersn't love what he does, he loves that what he does gets noticed.
Guess what?
No green light.
One cute idea and this guy's stopwatch is at 14:59. Think of something else, hoss.-
