Good job. Your piece is well-written and you are well-spoken. Content wise it is excellent. This is such an important topic.
Technically speaking I find the background a little distracting with that frame behind your head. My suggestion to you would be to add in b-roll while you are speaking. "Don't tell us, show us" For example you could show some stats, video from New Orleans, pics of the lawyers, hurricane pics/video etc.
I think you have a lot to say and you are so right about the "political double talk." You have a great voice. Keep using it! Greenlight!

Video, close in on you, not the desk. Ditch the picture behind your head. >
If you're doing the anchorman thing, then watch the guys on big networks. Posture, lean forward on edge of seat. You're too relaxed.
If you're an anchorman, then this content is too editorial/opinionated. If you report, you report facts. Editorials require one thing: credibility of the speaker. In your three pieces, you make good arguments, but who are you? Who do the networks use to get editorial content out there? Not fledgling reporters.
My best, all this meant to help.

I am not a reporter. I am a commentator. I make no bones about it.

Most of this i agree with but your comment about compareing us to 3rd world countries is missleading. When they sed the Tsunami relief whas better they did not mean other 3rd world countries support they ment the US supporting other 3rd world countries.
Oh and its not very open minded at all. I know that it looks like the Feds "fault" but come on.-

Ok Andy Ronney Jr. This is not totally the federal goverment's fault. What about the state and local goverment. Which were the people that live there and knew about the hurricane. They certainly got themselves out of harms way could they not have gotten the ones that could not fend for themself. And as far as those people that ingnored all the warnings and could've easily left the blame is at their own feet. I leave you with this quote "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.
A little side question for everyone: Does Current TV really need another Liberal view trying to speak for everyone? I don't think so. -
GOOD! GOOD GOOD!!!GOOD! EVEN GREAT!
Well done.
