Slip 'N Slide

A group of friends overtake a hilly park for the day to have some fun with their custom 200 foot Slip 'N Slide. This is not your typical 30 foot Slip 'N Slide, it is a 200 foot long beast waiting for riders. You've never seen anything quite like this before.

Honestly, reading the description of this I thought it would be pathetic. But it's actually pretty damn good, holds the attention. And it's very, very "grassroots". Good job.

The Slip'n'Slide is a Trademark that still belongs to Wham-O. Slip'n'Slide was created in 1960 and it's success literally saved the company after the 1958 boom and bust of the Hula-Hoop. Richard Knerr and Spud Melin from South Pasadena, CA gave us these American classics as well as Frisbee, Super Ball, Water Wiggle, Air Blaster and many more. It's a shame in our "sue your way to wealth" society that the great toys are either full of micro-chips or have been made so safe that they've been stripped of all their fun. Who would risk bringing out such a wonderful, dangerous toy today?

This guy is a genious... and he is also my love-child. Seriously, this is a nice piece and the shots from the slide were surprisingly stable (considering the fact that filming while sliding cannot be a stable venture) Can't wait to see more in the future.

I'm troubled that as we look upon the area, described in voice-over as "lovely", on a great new TV venue in which many pods and most commentary speak to preserving Mother Earth and our need to be responsible, you've chosen to show a bunch of yahoos polluting the area with soap. SOAP!!! Detergent!!! What the HELL were you thinking?
