Sasha and Kara joined forces on their video to spread the word about International Quirkyalone Day, a growing alternative to Valentine's Day that celebrates all kinds of love and includes everyone - single and coupled. They wanted to show how a growing movement of single people not only survive but celebrate February 14. To learn more, visit quirkyalone.net.

i must remember to celebrate Quirkyalone Day next y ear. I liked the music, especially that first one, with the "pim pada". I don't know what it's called, but it rocks the flippity-floppity-floo.

I think people could use a few more alternatives in life. Why not let these people spread the word on Current since the video was done well?

Production! Production! Production! Amazing. The cut-aways? Luscious! The archival footage? Stellar. Editing was fantastic. I'd love to learn how you created it. It's very tight. It looks like it took months and months to do. Way to go.

My childhood would have been so much happier with a quirky alone day. :) Nice job!

There should be one of these done on every freakin holiday!

Why didn't I think of this???? Love it!

Finally I've found a name for my condition, a label that this non-conformist would be proud to wear. And I found it from a clip that was incredibly engaging, well edited, and fun to watch too! The archival snips alone were enough to impress me, but the package as a whole just hit home so well. Thank you Sasha and Kara. :p
Quirkyalone.net is downright inspirational, thanks for leading me there. Here's to hoping we see coverage of International Quirkyalone Day 2006 from you guys!
Keep bein' quirky, ya'll.-

Very well done. One greeting card holiday down. Who many more to go?

Wow. What a fun piece. Green from me. :)
I think Current is at its best, when you open a window into a world that's right in front of you, but you never seem to be aware of. It's neat to peek in, Sasha, and I'm enlightened and encouraged by the effort.-

Have I said again how much I love this piece? I already greenlighted it, so there's nothing much to do. But, wow! Great music. Nice narrative. LOVE the archival footage! Excellent!

Makes a good example of 'em. Hang those valentiners out to dry!
This is just a start - the hell with Mothers day, fathers day, July the fourth, Halloween, Black Americans Month, etc. What do we need all that crap for. I am truly for standardization though. We should have palnets day, not Earth Day. We should have human day... no, how about animal, no ... living organism day.
It was a fun piece overall. Dont agree with all of it, but it did make me think...
Some QUIRKY editing too.
