  • Hey I'm going to comment on my own piece... just to let everyone know that Facing New York (this band) is doing a CD release show at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco on September 1st. You should go if you're in the area and you liked this video!

  • Well.....it is a hybird ...a cross between Dumb and Dumber and the passionate artist piece. The one line....."falling on our faces and getting up laughing".......there it is the next big hit for these guys is wriggling out of their interview...all they need to do is tap into that pain. The one boy is a real genius.....

    loved your long winded rendition from the band. But what about the fans? Would have loved to hear more from the fans, what did they think? Nicely done! Green glow!

  • I really liked it. I think a lot of people don't know what it's like to take risks.
    If you do any more camera work at night you might want to look into even just a cheap little on camera light. Otherewise I kinda liked that it was shot in a parking lot. audio didn't bother me really.
    there is a long tail of black, so worried it won't appear the right length to the powers that be, but I'm greenlighting it.

  • Sorry about the black space at the end, I'm not sure how that happened... probably Final Cut Pro being dumb. Anyway, thanks for the positive feedback everybody! Hopefully I'll be posting some extra footage at link pretty soon - outtakes from the interviews, as well as some shout-outs that FNY wanted to make to some of their friends in bands.

  • I'd have green lighted it if you cut the dead air at the end of teh piece and a LITTLE less footage of teh guys playing music. (The sound capture by teh camera's mike wasn't flattering)

  • I believe FNY is the most exciting band in rock/punk/indie/music today, and I will probably love anything connected to them. As such, good job!

  • Living in Orlando, where we got tons of bands all over the place, I just had to hear what these dudes up state were coping. Now I know it's the same everywhere. It's a tough biz and definitely inspiring too. Reminds me a lot about telling my folks about wanting to make films....if the cash don't start flowing, they would (most folks) would never buy into the idea. Definitely want to see this on TV.
