  • whats the corporation?
  • The Corporation is probably the most important documentary of 2003 and one of the only films out there that touches upon the larger problem in our world. Last year they released it on DVD and it's a must watch. Check it at link

  • Submedia, nice piece. I'm surprised you haven't gotten more greenlights here. Liked the graphics, didn't like the pacing. A bit on the slow side--strivve to a take a minute off the overall length and shorten up the title sequence and I think you'll have a tight piece.

Also, is this pod a subliminal ad for Starbucks? A Starbucks logo appears in nearly every shot...
  • Thanks for the props. No it's not a Starbucks commercial : )
I was trying to make a point that corporations are EVERYWHERE, but glad you noticed.

  • I Loved the graphics, the corporation logo, and the low angle shots. I agree that the pacing sometimes seems forced but still and all an effective piece and advertisement for the film. I'll check the link and see the film.

Speaking of checking the link and seeing the film check out my latest- 'where to?' I think you'll like the music
  • Nice interview. You asked interesting questions and you got interesting answers. I love "The Corporation" and this was a good look at the thought process behind the film.

The most interesting line was that if he had more time and money, he would have made the film shorter. Someone once wrote, "If I'd had more time, I would have written less."

    Please watch my video also.

  • great profile and graphics. gl.
  • GL Nicely done and great topic.

We need to break the monopoly these corporations have so that we can have more competition between more smaller companies. The extension of this is the great sums of money these people have to corrupt the democratic process - particularly the corporate effect on media that stifles the flow of useful information to the electorate.

    I could go on...

Check out Sister Beatrice Explores. She sees what's really going on beneath the surface.

  • Nice quote near the end: "just because we can't fix everything doesn't mean we shouldn't do anything." I think the most we could do to help stem the flow of this "corporatization" of America would be campaign finance reform. I'll try to find this film based on what I have seen here. Good work, I liked the style choices, and the graphic work. Made for an interesting location. I felt like you just ran into Achbar on his way to breakfast and you happened to recognize him... GL!

If you get a chance, please check out our uploads shot off the coast of Maine. Thanks!
