the headlines, a greater, sustained participation in the rebuilding
effort is crucial to real renewal. Filmmaker Chris Bernier recently
spoke to a local New Orleans minister and his family, one of the many
looking to help but struggling to find the means. By marrying a
public service announcement with a help wanted ad, "Homeland" calls
for greater involvment from the U.S. population.

Nice piece, good music. One thing I noticed is that some of the opening text is hard to read as it blends in with the video, especially the red text. Otherwise, good job.
-
Just want to thank my good friend MIchael Brunnock for letting me use his music in Homeland...You should all check him out at www.michaelbrunnock.com ...He's the man.
-

I like what I've seen so far. I think this has the potential to be a powerful documentary. Good work.
-
Chris Bernier is a powerful filmmaker and Homeland is evidence of his talent.

Chris,
Very sad to see such slow progress in the clean up and rebuilding. This piece is a wake up call! Keep showing us the real reality. Nice work! -
A sad portrayal of people trying to get their lives back together after the devastation of Katrina. Thanks for sharing the story with us. Great music! I hope it inspires more than a few people to continue helping those in need.
-
Great job, Chris !! Very touching. Alot of people have already forgotten what went on there but the work has just begun. Hope this message gets through to many.

loved the story. but i wish there was more light... I don't like staring at a black screen with just a hint of lips moving. But otherwise it was great
-
Touching story. I think its great! It really makes you think about how many people have lost everything. The struggle to make everything right again is a never ending one for the people or N.O. Greenlight!
-
In the beginning your narration ran into the first person speaking. I liked the opening audio. It was very appropirate. Was the extreme closeup discussion with the second person planned? I didn't like the opening text display because I wanted to focus on the visuals at that time.

Great pace, music, shot selection and message. Hard to see anything with the dark shots, but then I'm just watching it, they're living it. Thanks for reminding me without beating me over the head. Got my attention, another donation, and my first greenlight.
