THIS IS TOO F'N SCARY!!!!!! WHAT THEY SAY THEIR DOING AND
WHAT ACTUALLY IS GOING ON - I BELIEVE ARE TWO DIFFERENT
THINGS(GOALS) 1. YES THE YOUTH WANT TO BE EMPOWDERED
2. TOO BAD IT'S BY ALOT OF ADULTS WHO ARE USING WAYS TO
"BRAINWASH" THIS GENERATION INTO DOING WHAT THEY - THEMSELVES COULDN'T DO. BUT, FIRST LET THEM HOPE IN A JESUS/GOD, THEN GET THEM TO DO ALL THE DIRTY WORK LIKE RID ALL EQUAL RIGHTS FOR LGBQT PEOPLE- FOR STARTERS, THEN TAKE AWAY A WOMEN RIGHT TO CHOOSE- WHY BECAUSE "THEY SAY SO"... AND SO ON..
DON'T BELIEVE ME..?... READ ON>> AT A SIMILAR ARENA A SESSION OF BRAINWASHING HAPPEN IN OHIO BUT, SOME IN THE GROUP WERE THEIR TO REPORT NOT TO FOLLOW -COMMANDS BY ELDERS..... ROD PARSLY, PASTOR OF THE HUGE WORLD HARVEST CHURCH IN COLUMBUS,OHIO AT A MARCH 28TH RELIGIOUS " YOUTH CONFERENCE" SAID THIS;
" A SPIRITAL INVASION IS TAKING PLACE.... I CAME TO INCITE
A RIOT FOR JESUS, MAN YOUR "BATTLE" STATIONS.READY YOUR WEAPONS. LOCK AND LOAD!!! WE HAVE A DUTY TO OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST TO RID AMERICA OF HOMOSEXUALS ONCE AND FOR ALL ." DOES THIS SOUND LIKE
CHRISTIANS WHO "LOVE & CARE?" I THINK NOT!!! IT'S ALL IN THE PLAN.... LOOK AT ROOSEVELT'S AMBASSADOR TO GERMANY IN THE 1930'S-1940'S IT ALL FITS THE SAME AS YOU READ HIS WORDS, THE ONLY DIFFERENTS IS IT WAS JEWS THEY KEPT THE "YOUTH" FOCUSED ON - AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED.... DO I NEED TO SAY IT!!!!
HERE IN AMERICA THE RIGHT WING CHRISTIAN WANTS ONE THING AND THAT IS " NO MORE HOMOSEXUALS EVER" NOT TO MENTION A WOMAN'S RIGHT TO HER "OWN" BODY... WHO WILL BE NEXT IN THE LINE TO THE TRAINS.... ?????
DON'T FALL FOR IT YOUTH OF AMERICA, MAKE UP YOUR OWN PLAN- NOT THE PLAN OF THE K*K OF THE 21 ST CENTURY- "THE EXTREME RADICAL B.A. CHRISTAIN".....!! YOUR NAME ALONE SAYS IT ALL "BATTLE"CRY... AMERICA BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRIAD.... IT'S LIKE "NIGHT OF THE LIVING CHRISTAINS" SCARY........... P.S. LGBQT YOUTH WHEN YOU SEE THIS IN YOUR CITY OR TOWN > START TO FORM YOUR OWN GROUPS,
BECAUSE YOU WILL BE IN THE FIGHT FOR YOUR "LIFE" AND ANY EQUAL RIGHTS IF YOUR LUCKY TO HAVE THEM AT ALL....
PROMOTE LOVE, NOT BIGOTED HATE!!!!! DEMAND IT NOW!!

The general idea here of breaking free from the system of non-creative, non-individual thinking is wonderful and is the most important task of our generation. However, I don't understand why these people must tie in "God" and "Jesus Christ" into our awakening. These figures have nothing to do with this revolution of the mind. WE are the answer. Who we are, what we think, and what we create as a result of this individuality. Not some mysterious figure that supposedly walked the earth and shouted out the rules for the next 2000 years. Thats bullshit. We know what is right and what is wrong. Your body, mind, and soul tells you what feels right and what feels wrong. We are just in a state were we can't listen to ourselves clearly. That is our battle. I like to see this type of movement, but I fear an even more severe brainwash with such extreme dependence on God. Be yourself, think for yourself, love.

clap for jesus??
What do they want to do force everyone to follow the bible and not experience real life, real issues?
Yeah let's "liberate the youth" and force them into theocracy.. wonderful.

I can't say that I've been to one of these events, nor do I think most people who have viewed this video or commented on it have, but the event seems like a great thing to me. I'm not thrilled with the war related lingo, or placing a bulk of the blame for moral decline on one specific organization such as MTV. I am thrilled with the devotion that these event leaders and youth participants are showing for Jesus and their desire to not blindly copy the imoral life decisions that are promoted in our culture and media.
If you're not familiar with the Bible or Jesus I imagine a video like this would not make much sense to you. I can understand why many people have developed negative thoughts and feelings toward Christians and Christianity in general because a lot of crap is said and done in this world in the name of Jesus. People do a lot of stupid stuff. Jesus doesn't. If you've never taken the time or effort, I encourage you to read the Bible, research it's credibility, and come to your own informed conclusion about it's relevancy for your life. This is my "Battle Cry" for the well being of anyone who reads this.
I'm pleased to see that this clip is being played on the air.

I agree with Benjamin.
I think it is great for the youth to come together for support of better morals and influences. The MTV machine and pop culture has turned gen xers into two dimensional "merchants of cool".
People must look inside to learn what makes them feel good. Looking for someone else to blame or praise isn't what the Creator wants. Yeah, Jesus was a great guy... but you can be too. It is only you. Follow your bliss.

Do you agree with the people in this video and the message of Battle Cry that corporations, media conglomerates, and purveyors of popular culture seduce and enslave young adults?

Pretty interesting stuff to say the least. Oh My.. God?

This is just scary! And ridiculous! It looks like Pat Robertson and religious fundamentalist like him have finally gotten women in this country to demand that we go back to the 50's! And all they had to do was slap a "Jesus" label on their propaganda.
When will the people of this country stop being sheep? Is that what Jesus would have concerned himself with?
One cursory glance at the bible would suggest otherwise. If Battlecry really want to be "christ-like" I suggest they help the poor, visit the sick just as he had done, and stop coveting other people's freedom just because they have resigned themselves away from it. Fine. That's their business. But don't push it on anyone else! The rest of us who don't share their agenda, don't appreciate it!

First, I too agree that our youth are "victims" of the media. I blame people and corporations who care more about making money than you, me, my children or yours. Who are in positions of power (because of all their money) who are able to influence legislation, regulation, and who by a type of corporate mentality collectively pervert all media to promote the product, ideology and lifestyle which is most profitable to them.
There is no concern for you and I when an American company knowingly imports and sells toys with lead paint on them from China - then blames or allows China to be blamed for it.
There is no concern for you or I when food companies use monosodium glutamate or MSG on food knowing full well it is destructive to brain development and health.
There is no concern for you or I when the FDA allows companies to rename MSG in order to hide it from a cautious public.
There is no concern for you or I when companies sell us cheap junk designed for obsolescence.
There is no concern for you or I when corporations bribe our elected officials to ignore the interests of the people for their benefit.
There is no concern for you or I when the media only reports a "version of the truth" about what's going on in the world.
Although I have no first hand knowledge of BattleCry,
I do not see a problem returning to the principals of treat others as you want to be treated, compassion, grace, accepting one another. Those are the lessons from Christianity, and what has made the United States of America great. We accept everyone and everyone loves us for it. Now, Bushenney, he's got a different religion and I hope the conservative right sees that.Sure, BattleCry is a little overzealous in some ways, but as things come back into balance, I'm sure that will go away.

I agree, Voyager, but these Battlecry people aren't focused on the real problems of the media. They have a singular focus - getting rid of sex and anything that suggests it on TV. It fits in with their view of how women should behave: subservient to men, wanting nothing more than to be a good housewife and mother and defers all decisions to their god & man. Kind of like the Taliban. If they had their way, the country would more resemble an Arab country in terms of individual freedoms than the way it is now.

While it's nice to see kids recognizing that they have a voice and can speak out against the negative effect they feel pop culture is having on their generation, I feel like this Battlecry thing is taking it all a little too far. I think it's a shame that their main goal is to spread Christianity rather than just encouraging their peers to see beyond the damaging images and messages that exist out there, and to love and think for themselves. If a love for Christ helps some people see through our culture's negativity, then more power to it. But, demanding belief in Christianity and over-dramatizing everything seems counter-productive.
The answer to their so-called "crisis" doesn't lie only in the belief in Christ and acceptance of the cross. It comes from the ability to accept one another for who we are, encouraging each other to be the best people we can be, and to be kind. Sure, it's written that Christ preached those things, but I don't have to believe in him to want to live that way.
