The voice of today's youth is heard in this raw display of the thoughts and the pyschological process that take place when they connect to the Internet. Taken from actual statements made by today's generation, hopefully this experimental can provoke thought, and open eyes to this growing dangerous problem.

  • Riley,, interesting i really enjoyed your thought provoking vid. I partialy agree with your statments. But in the same hand the internet is what you make of it. Yes teens mostly choose to hook up, cruise, watch porn, etc. But some actually do appropriate stuff on their also. I have learned over the years myself of cruising on the internet that fiction greatly out weighs reality on the internet. Once you realize that then you dont vest yourself as much as you once did.

  • Haha, i thought it was funny because its pretty much somewhat true the way this myspace shit has gotten outtacontrol. Good Job. I thought it was creative.
  • Fantastic. That is just how I feel sometimes! Not really myspace, but just the internet in general.

Really damn well done. I would give you a greelight, but you are already on TV.

  • Riley, Riley, Riley, Riley,

I love the honesty and the pacing. The imagery does provide forward velocity... but what's this whole notion of "connection" when there's none? Intimacy, when there's only fleeting recognition? Clearly the best image is the cropped black and white shot of the face (your's?) at rest.

    Go, baby!

  • Just a brief update. JS ... the whole connection thing is what they would talk about alot. They talked about how easy it was and how connected they felt to these people half way across the country, merely from the words they spoke. If you check out the love languages in psychology, it seems like their primary love language is 'words of affirmation.' One of my friends also received a $500 check for his birthday from a girl on-line. I guess "acts of love" could be his love language. It's all very strange. I will continue to investigate and get some more inside info.
  • isn't it ironic that all of these comments on your flick are exactly what you illustrate in your piece? How does that make you feel?

Great Job. I hope you win the camera!
