Independent filmmaker Chandra Simon takes her film to Tribeca Film Festival.

Idiotwork I disagree - the girl has a killer smile!
Great photography and a neat look at a filmmaker at a festival. Good job.

great video. it's good to see what happens as filmmakers prepare for a festival. she seems like a real producer - someone who's job is never done. and I agree with brooklynscribe - she's cute and I enjoyed watching her.

I disagree with you. I think that she is really good in the piece considering that it is her first feature and she is dealing with the world premiere of the film. It is also probably the first time that she has had a camera crew follow her. I saw the film and think that it is great. Chandra gives us a very real look at what it takes to produce a film in Tribeca in a short amount of time and the filmmakers of this piece do a good job of capturing her. Not much more that I can say other than I enjoyed it and keep up the good work.

I just finished watching this for the 2nd time and I have to say this is one of the better spots I've seen on here. It just feels so real and you really couldn't have found a more compelling time to capture someone. I agree with louisnyc - it looks like there are a lot of people around and Chandra seems to be doing a job of taking it all in stride. She's not the angry-producer-screaming-into-the-phone-type that you so commonly see. Also, I thought the "B-" bit was really funny. That's not a bad review, guys! That's a B-. The piece is also beautifully shot. The movie looks good. Well done.

I think this is good work. I met Ms Simon at the premier party for this film, and I have to say, I think she is going to take off. She is extremely dynamic and engaging in person, and clearly her work is top notch.
It's good to see up-and-coming women highlighted in this industry, its been too much a 'guys club' for so long.
Thanks prichard1 - looking forward to more.-

Great clip!! I just saw this film at TFF and thought it was fantastic!!
this biz is tough for us girls - i'm happy to see a women get featured.
it must have been hard to get good footage during tribeca events...they seemed like a madhouse to me.
good work!

way to go current, you picked a great person to follow. chandra shows us that it's not all about being a power-trippy obnoxious hollywood back-stabber - but that real live nice, normal, dedicated, people (women!) with good ideas can actually break into the biz. chandra is adorable - just like the movie, which i saw, twice and really liked!

Hmmm...seems pretty self centered to me

It's a great pod - a great producer - well done.

I think this is a great piece. It looks like a headache to have her job, but it does also look like a lot of fun. I love any chance to see behind the scenes of what the film industry is about.
Ignore Sam - I think he's just bitter because he wanted to work on the film. If you watch this, it's obviously the exact opposite of his comment. -
You guys are the best. Your style. Your stories. I just love all your pieces. Your parents must be very proud and if not I am. Keep doing what your doing GoPictures. You all have a permanent GREENLIGHT from Good People.
