Do you know what REALLY happened on Election Night 2004? You have no idea. We received this never-before-released promotional video from our good friends at Diebold. It's time to celebrate!
Written & Directed by Scott Rose
Starring Scott Rose and Mary Wachtel
Videography & Editing by Rockwood Media
Don't think it could happen? Check out these news stories:
Washington Post: It's easier to rig an electronic voting machine than a Las Vegas slot machine.

You should add a link to the video for people to get more information on how Exit Polls showed Kerry winning until they were altered in the afternoon to match the machine count.
"Exit Polls" shouldn't be called that once they're tainted with the machine count. There should be a distinction between Exit Poll numbers and machine count numbers.
We need Paper Ballots Publicly Hand-Counted.-

This might've been a good way to draw people in to a longer piece on electoral fraud, but as a standalone piece, it really does nothing except entrench people in their own opinions. Wish they'd done more.

You're right that this won't change minds. Few videos do. But it may remind people who already care about electoral reform to support organizations such as "TrueVoteMD."
As I added below, the producer should display a link at the end of the piece for people to get more information.

I KNOW for a fact that my vote "vanished", and suspect my friend is telling the truth when he says that his did as well. We live in a republican state and did votepair. We each voted for Cobb......however Cobb recieved NO votes at all in my county. Not one.

Amusing sketch comedy. Simple, funny, and reminds me of the parody commercials you might see on Saturday Night Live. Greenlight.

Great sketch.
Frightening to think how close to the truth it may be.

Isn't this about two years too late? Are we really supposed to believe it's that simple to rig an election? Was Bush v. Kerry even that close? How about a pod on the inabilities of the democrats to find a nominee worth voting for?
This coming from a lifelong Dem - let's stop beating a dead horse.

I hate to be the Current TV police, but this doesn't seem like something they show. Am I right? I don't know if it counts as a "narrative film" or what. Maybe theres another way you could tell the same story in a less, um, acted out kind of way. Actually, speaking of that, it seems like you are looking for an easy way to put your acting on national tv.

The FAQ page says, "We're not looking for fiction, unless it's satire." This is satire.

I do agree Bush stole 2 terms in office, but I feel this is too "acted" out. Something a little more subtle would have been nice. I also think it isn't exactly "current" , right after elections would've been a little more affective. Now he's 2 more years in and it sucks, but let's count down the days to the end of his term. Pretty funny though and nice sound.

"As subtle as a brick".
I agree with the sentiment, if not it's delivery. -zen -
I just wonder how long it will take to undo the damage this presidency has caused.

Look, my sympathies are with you, you are definitely preaching to the choir here. But this clip is worse than lame--do you not get that? Current won't be successful presenting unimaginative, unfunny, plain hokey crap like this (see above comments, the ones that are more than one word long). Sheesh!
-
how can someone greenlight a film like this... ???
-
Can anybody prove that?
-
It's funny, just don't take it too seriously.

Completely TV worthy.. So I guess half the comments are from Democrats and half from the Republicans? Haah hhaahh
This needs to be aired ;-) -
Scott,
This short skit reminds me of vintage Saturday Night Live. Quick, simple, to the point. Good acting and voice-over.
My only suggestion is to add music very subtly underneath. -
So that's what happened??? LOL! I "Greened it", pay no attention to those critics behind the curtain, that's some funny S#!T - Rich T
-
too good. Succient but says it all.
-
It is this kind of irresponsible information that is turning people off to voting. If there is no proof it should not have been posted. If there was proof I am sure the liberal media would have been all over it.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. Corruption will never stop untill people are educated about the media, lieing and the power of the word.

I guess it is just too much to comprehend for some that GWB won fair and square. Im one of those irritating moderates that have not given into the radicalization of both the Republican and Democratic Parties.
-
This topic is timely and should soon join the ranks of all the other Bush lies that have been debunked.

Ok. Funny. But....what the heck! It's effective in that it stirs up controversy, and hey, what's life without it. GL.

i will tell you that i grew up in ohio and recently just returned here. i was overseas for the election, but just recently had a chat with a bud who is good friends with one of the execs at diebold now...after they cleaned house following the election...saying that bush visited diebold, headquartered in akron, a few times that year, and they were pre-set with hundreds of 'votes.'
so, this was news to me just last fall, and coming from the source, i took it on the real. i have yet to check out the links you posted up there, but will...and, i can't applaud you more for your boldness in bringing some light onto this subject matter...cause i will tell you that people overseas in small towns knew about ohio, before any american formed the word from their mouths!

Let's hope it doesn't happen again! GL
It's odd that there was so little done to oversee this even after the media knew what they knew about Diebold.
