tres bien!

incredible! great pod, the momentary suspence, and the bones, ( i was saying those arent bones...are they..) raises a bunch of thoughts,(will you make more journeys underground?will the piece hear from historians who may want the galleries preserved? what about tourism?) but overall it's purely cool. cant wait to see how you finish it off. thanks for the ride!
-
Very interesting! GL
-
agree - great suspence.
i miss sth striking/surprising in the end, but GL for a brave filmmaker anyway ;-) -
Awsome pod. A perfect example of the kind of cool subject matter that can be found on Current.
I will begin praying now that they don't sell out to Viacom the minute they start getting really popular. -
Here is why I GL... I gave up from the feeling of claustrophobia... that is effective...

This is probably the best pod I've seen on Current. Nice work and great storytelling.
-
now thats film noir! :)
great pacing, suspenseful, exciting and a little disturbing (the ww2 part). thanks for taking us along. lumiere vert! -
One of the few Current pods to fully earn its longer running time. Haunting images, narration serves in superb counterpoint to the visuals. GL all the way around!

Excellent work Juan, good pacing and you have a great voice for narrating, you sound honest and interested in your topic and don't interject too much opinion. the camera work was very good especially considering the darkness and terrain. Bon chance!

¡Muchas Gracias! -
Fascinating documentation of a subculture, perfect for Current TV. I like the way this pod includes elements of suspense, humor, and insight. Excellent work, GL.
-
Nice work - It's great that you had the idea of going into the tunnels and then stuck with it long enough to make it happen.

Interesting story. I think you could cut the narration a bit, but all together it hangs together very well. Cheers on the GL.

Wow, I was holding my breathe the entire time. How creepy! Excellent pod.
-
that was wild!! I Loved it... the dark side of me totally wants to go check it out.. A friend of mine just moved to Paris-- I'm gonna have to ask him if he knows about these. :-)

This is some real under ground stuff it reminds me of back in the days clubs in nyc. When you had to hear about the hot clubs threw word of mouth. This guy was very brave to go down there.the hardest thug would not have went down there.this pod is hot i like it.
-
This is amazing. I actually TiVo-ed a special on the travel channel called Incredible Catacombs which previewed the Paris catacombs, but only on a surface tourist level- this was like getting behind the scenes extras!
-
Riveting Work! Great camera work and interviews under difficult conditions!Tight editing that kept me at the edge of my seat. Thanks for making this!
-
I was in those undergounds few months ago, good to see them fron your pod, which is interesting, good camera. GL from me
-
Wow, very interesting piece. Nice production work all the way around. Definitely not something many of us would get a chance to see without this pod. GL!! Check out my latest pod and let me know what you think.

thanks for the introduction into this world. would have liked to see the counter-culture and not just hear about it in the narration.
-
Very cool POD! I too would like to see more and also the art down there. I think it would be horrible for anyone to fill these in and destroy them because of the history they have.

very well done piece. there's a nice build-up in the narrative flow. great job with the lighting which captured a lot of detail and the texture of the place. the sound was fairly balanced, considering the varying fluctuations in room tone. i don't know what kind of camcorder or camera the shooter was using but he managed to keep it pretty stable most of the time, which is not easy, especially under those rigorous shooting conditions. good selection of footage to convey the sense of desolation and foreboding the place must evoke. cool series of transitions at the end depicting the group's ascension from the underworld. merci beaucoupe.

Really cool and interesting. It's truly a museum of youth (counter) culture. I gotta find a way to check it out when next in Paris!
I've been to the cemetery catacombs...it's a little macabre. I like the museum aspect of this place much better...it would be tragic if they actually cemented the tunnels up.
Thanks for making everyone aware of this unique place. -
Well deserve to be on air, nice work out there!
was a good surprise and kept my attention the
entire 8 min...
Congrats!

It s too late to GL. I lived in Paris but I never heard about people going under. Very interesting.
-
Astounding. I probably would never ave even hear dof these catacombs under paris if i didnt watch this pod.
I love the grittiness og the pod, how it does away with trying to be profeesional all the time and just takes you ona ride through one of the last bastions of pure unadultereated freedom left on the planet.-

Juan this piece is absolutely capitivating. When you first entered the tunnels my heart skipped a beat at the thought that you were following complete strangers who could have ditched you at any moment. What an incredible look into a subculture I have never heard of before. It's amazing how it aired nearly a year ago and I'm just discovering it. do you ever collaborate on projects?
if you get a chance I would love for you to check out my pod. -
Sehr gefährlich...
und sehr gut Huan ! -
I do not have Current TV at home, and therefore never had a chance to see your work. I was finally able to do so here at the website, as I found your profile thanks to some comments you made on other pods.
Your production values are flawless, and your storytelling style is very engaging. I hope to see more pods from you in the future, so that I have a chance to give them my GL. Good luck with your current and future projects, and congrats for all your accomplishments here at Current so far.
If you have a moment, please take a look at my latest pod BIG BUGS , and let me know what you think about this reverse perspective on the world. I would love to get your critique on it. Thanks!-

Amazing Video, you're a brave fellow
Check out Sister Beatrice Explores, ranked #2
I hope you appreciate her sense of humour.
Best of Luck, I'm looking forward to your next video -
Excellent ! Having seen groups pulling up in a car and using it to hide themselves as they dropped down, I always wondered what the tunnels looked like . Being claustrophobic, I never had the balls to try. Thanks for the tour.
-
pretty interesting piece. definitely something i'd wanna explore if i find myself in paris anytime soon.
