A behind the scenes look at the last few weeks on the South Central Farm and a startling account of the day of the raid and subsequent arrests.

Brilliant. Bravissimo!
I think you did a great job capturing the before and after of the event: the beauty of this urban oasis and the effect it has on its participants, and the drama and (more importantly) the resolve of its defense.
This is a very thoughtful, stirring piece. The Farm, here in the doc, is not a righteous symbol, but a breathing part of a community.
One thing I'd add: a wide establishing shot of the size and variety of this farm. There are probably stills or stock you can get and just drop it in. Especially liked the opening sequence.
Bravo! -
Very good job, you were there at the precise moments!
-
An accurate depiction of events as they transpired since I was there at the Farm on several occasions meeting the farmers and activists and hearing of the impending eviction and destruction of the land by the developer.
-
GREAT!!! Great job!
I hope the farm will be saved!
Paris riots made it. -
Moving! Such a powerful topic to cover right now. This kept me close for the whole 7min ride.

The world is our farm. The South Central Farm has been murdered by our "unconcious" community. Those at the lead of this first world Rat Race. I lived on the farm for 7 days. It was a living breathing part of Los Angeles. We the Concious community made a great effort. "Real" people came from every corner of this continent to make a stand. 45 people were arrested as a result of our statement to the world. The Farm is (was) a symbol of salvation in the root of the problem- L.A.
Media Freedom is the basis of my studies currently, I worked on the farm in the media dept. and I was there for many amazing press events. I witnessed Fox News neglect the best aspects of our plentyful farm. Media freedom is long since alive and well. Its been fifty years since the people of america have been properly covered in mainstream media. They call us the "Bewildered Herd." Now its the corperations responsibility to keep us safe from ourselves. They wouldn't want us to stop buying... We'll see if this website posts my comment in full form.
I suggest we start viewing land as martyr. The South Central Farm will live on forever dormant under the newest wal-mart warehouse in the concrete wasteland known as downtown Los Angeles.

This is incredible stuff. Intense, provocative, and timely. This piece needs to air asap.
Love your eye - you captured this terrible injustice with great imagery. The direction is impeccable. The South Central Farmers and their supporters deserve all the support in the world - and Current should lead the way. Show this pod soon.

Ambitious, well done and timely. I love the immediacy of CTV, we can witness an issue and just upload it the same day. this community we are part of us SO POWERFUL. Too bad you didn't get them plucking Darryl out of the tree. Not sure if you can do this on CTV but I've shot things and Tivo'd the news coverage and cut that in. Get this on TV you guys, the only thing that made it on about this in NYC was plucking a moviestar out of a treehouse I had NO idea the story behind it, thank you. Come support our Daniel Ellsberg pod if you get a chance

Great job. This farm is far more important than most people realize. It is a model for the future. As oil gets more and more expensive, food too will cost more and more. It is astounding how much food can be grown on 1/25th of an acre, about the size of each families plot on the farm. Warehouses should be torn down to create more such places. Our very lives into the future will depend on the availability of more locally grown food.
Even more, the community that has formed at that location is extraordinary. In all the years I have lived in Los Angeles, I never walked into a location and felt at home, until I walked into the Farm.
I only wish that there was some way to get Horowitz to see what it is he wants so badly to destroy.-

I have seen bits of this on nantional news but it was all about Daryl Hanna and very little or nothing about the South Centrall Farm. Thanks for giving us the realy story. This should be an indication that News Current rather than traditional networks is where we can find real storys. It feels like it might be the wave of the future. I really hope it is. A wonderful piece! This needs to be broadcast so more people can see it! Thanks.

Glad to see the response is so strong.
One thing I wanted to add. The story of the end-game revolves around L.A. City Councilperson Jan Perry.
Congrats on the piece, once again. -
Congrats on getting your pod aired :) I hope to see more. Good work. this ones really good info!

The passion for peace and a unified humanity must have been at the core of this film-makers mission. Thankfully we have films like this to broaden our awareness. Through our actions to preserve and duplicate the urban farm we change the sleeping giant within all those who turn a blind eye.
This farm will live on. In our hearts and our reality.

What a powerful piece. One of the reasons I watch film and alternative media is to learn about the stories that I would have otherwise missed and I wouldnt want to miss this

Way to get in there and get the feel for what's happening. It can't be ignored. This piece evokes feelings. It prompts one to act. Great job.

A real tear jerker!
-
Isn't it a shame that the only word we got about this in the mainstream was "Hey look! Derril Hanna is in a tree!"
