my sister is a single mother who adopted. it's nice to see this stuff on the net. word.
-
I think any kid would be privileged to be in a family like these two kids are.
-
Three cheers for all the single moms out there and all the artists who bring their incredible experiences to light.

These kids are probably going to see more quality 1 to 1 time than in any 2 parent family where mom has to share her time with dad as well. No family fights to hear, no moody silences they cannot understand, just love and attention 24/7. Nice thought

nicely done. good editting+nice camerawork. GL!

the topic's sweet. but i think it needs to be shorter to keep the interest. also it would be cool to change the location in 2nd minute the latest..;-) e.g. show the women at home/work/shopping -actually doing sth; the B roll of kids @ playground becomes a bit tiring.
music could help too.
i feel like i want to observe/witness their lives to be more engaged in their stories -
Great candor in your interview subjects, very nicely put together. Maybe runs a little long, but it's worth a GL anyway.

Well done. I have a friend who is in her late 30s that struggled with wanting children but not having met her soulmate yet, and she is now a single mother by choice and loving it. Nice camera work and editing. I don't think it is too long, but agree with Nata about adding more broll of the women in their daily lives, I wanted to see more of what their lives are like. GL.

I really enjoyed this piece -- I agree that it would be cool to see the mothers in other contexts as well (errands, family gatherings, etc). This is a really important subject matter and well worth exposing in more detail!
-
Strong camera work, though more B-Roll of other venues would have helped carry the length of the tale better.
What matters most -- and a shoe-in for greenlighting -- is that the director has brought us a compelling story wrapped around two interesting characters while at the same time covering a critical, but rarely portrayed subject of single moms in America.
Bravo!-

this piece is amazin'. would love to see it on air. i think there should have been more b-roll, though. maybe some more stuff with the mothers and kids, other than them playing outside. the editing was really good. timing was great. overall, a spectacular job. i'd give it a green light. oh wait, i just did...

thank you for all your positive comments. its really great to see people who support single mothers as well as adoption, since both are hardly discussed in our society. i agree about the b roll and wanted to get more footage of the mothers, but their careers were complicated to film. thanks again for watching the film.

Wonderfully honest peek into single adoption!

a brief but moving glimpse into single motherhood by two committed parents. I enjoyed it, learned from it, and would recommend it to others.

What a great piece. As someone who works with young children, primarily of single-parent households, it gave me hope to hear from two strong, smart women who were mothers because they WANTED to be.

Great uplifting profile of two courageous women. I really love the idea and think it was well executed. Nice work. I would've liked to have seen a bit more of their lives - maybe in their homes? Either way, GL!

A wonderful piece on a challenging subject. Definitely deserves air-time. Informative, with fine performances. Congratulations!

hey, even tho. i could never be a single mother, i love the subject and i love you! good job!

I love this piece! It is very compelling and honest! I do agree with a previous poster that different venues would have carried the story and added some contrasting shots. Great work! GL

I must be honest I have a problem with the issue of single motherhood under many normal situations it means running the father out of the picture. As well I do ask was the Bio-Father ever given a chance to adopt his kids or were the adopted out from under the father and his rights.
But in the case of children where their are no options this is the best. single parenthood is not a breeze. So I commend these women and You for the material. GL

very nicely constructed. every word is interesting.

I enjoyed how you handled the topic. Its a topic that should be discussed a lot more. Good work. GL

Had a child myself at 18 and the father wanted nothing to do with him.
He is now 26 and doing good in society, only he seems to hold some resentments towards me.
But, I chose to have him. And, I did not go after the dad for support. (GL) for subject matter -
the expressions those kids make are so great!
-
Great work, it held my interest for the duration. I love seeing empowered women adopting and raising their beautiful children!
-
A powerful story. The story is very well documented and edited. Great work.

as the only son of a single mother I know first hand how tough it can be for both mother and child...for whatever the reasons, kudos to these ladies..
