Great footage and good interviews. I wish there was more of a story and that it was a little shorter.

Meres!! I wish I had time to work you like we talked about on 5pointz, I'm still shooting addish footage for my pod: link
The piece you have now is a good start, my two-cent suggestion, pick one of the many stories that intersect with that place and use that to express more about the 5pointz and the culture.

I love this! So vivid and beautiful. Forgive me if I missed this, but is this near PS 1? Becuase if it is, then I just noticed this place for the first time last weekend. Had been by there a million times, but never saw the amazing graffitti on the walls. ANYWAY, I too think this could have been a bit more focused. You seemed to be going in a direction at first where you're talking about history and then segue'ing into the more recent incarnation of graffitti art. Then you go into the after-school thing. I guess I would love to see this pod be either all about the after school stuff with more sound from other people actually putting stuff up on the walls...commenting about how long their stuff stays up, etc. OR just a historic look at the place, keeping those FS's at the beginning with the great historical factoids. But hey, I will give you a GL anyway and hope you consider shoring it down and focusing.

Yeah, I like many of the pieces that I've seen. I've seen some tight graf pieces in Greenpoint too though near the Brewery and over near the L. Nice work with letting the artists speak and not engaging them with the on air questions.

The video performs a valuable function: Taking something that's clearly visually chaotic, and giving us a frame and a context to understand both the works and the process that creates them. Good profile of what's going on. BTW: I think you mean "safe haven" instead of "safe heaven" in that one title. Although, ironically, the latter phrase works, I think you should change it. Gets a GL from me, in any case.

Great piece - I realized that it carried well without music, which isn't too common. Regarding the comments about focus - It seems like the piece was edited to preserve the subject's personality, which I feel is more important than having a polished progression, because it allows the viewer to get an honest view of this fella. Great work, and nice style - I'd GL if it hadn't been approved for TV already!

Peace,
Much Respect for what you are doing. We'd like to get in touch with this place and see how we can colloborate, we do similiar work in Milwaukee, WI and want to connect with as many people as possible to keep the movement alive and thriving especially among youth. www.trueskool.org

Thank you for sharing that awesome Graffiti video post of yours... I could learn a few things from you. As a fellow videographer, please, take just a moment to share your input on my CAN ART video. If you could do me the mutual courtesy, I could use your consent for TV.
