  • That's cool man. You're not obligated to like it. Everyone involved had a great time making it and I think it shows. I'm happy with it.
  • im sorry - i didnt mean to be harsh. it looks like a fun time was had making it - i just feel like the whole " hot girls dancing" thing is just the type of "dumbed down" culture we see plastered all over MTV, and the goal of creative advertising should be to break away from that.

  • This could definetly be trimmed down to a thirty. The dancing waiter is funny.
  • I disagree with CraigM. The goal of advertising is to sell the product. The hot girls, the vibrant atmosphere, and the whole theme of the video, bring the product to life. Ironically Craig, "the dumbed down culture," is the real world, and the people who watch MTV, are consumers, who would purchase a sony ericsson phone, because of ads just like this. And the people who watch Current, aren't that different. Mainstream America eats it up...... ads like this are the entree.

Capebruce, needless to say, I like your ad. The latin music is weird, but works with the way the ad is filmed. I think the waitor dancing away is hysterical and I like how it ends. I don't like the sound bite of the phone ring but thats just little shit. Overall good job, greenlight.

  • You're absolutely right - american MTV mainstream viewers love watching scantily-clad dancing hot girls and the dancing waiter was a nice touch. This voyeuristic point of view feels somehow ruined, however, when the girls start looking into the camera. Also, I'm not sure about the girl's acting when she says she's busy. I suggest fading to the sony end-tag after she says 'hello', and have the 'i'm very busy' voice-over on it.
  • I feel like this ad could do two things: cut down the party scene (which is too long), and cut out all the chest and ass shots. I think it would be a lot more fun (not to mention sony-friendly) just sticking with the concept . It would take it from a blatantly oversexed ad that's targeting guys, to a more subtle ad that targets both genders. But definitely keep the waiter in. He's funny.
  • yes, Marley, that type of consumer does exist in the real world - BUT - i know that as a student at a portfolio school, and i assume it must be the same at the CREATIVE circus - the goal is to be different. interesting. unique. CREATIVE. this is just not that to me. and does it really bring the product to life? how? it is just girls dancing. they could be dancing to music coming from somewhere else and the ad would be the same. it doesn't sell the phone. but again, this is only my constructive criticism, i mean no disrespect.

  • Thanks for all the feedback. I love the dancing waiter too. I tried to convey that a good time is infectious and happens here through music. I agree it could be shortened and I like the idea about the fade. I 'll try it. The girls happen to be blessed with good looks. Please don't hold it against them.
  • gotta like the dancing waiter
  • I dissagree with craigm.
its not UNCREATIVE it needs polsihing. use something else as a ringtone. use a stock ringtone from the device. the music is a little out of place, i think i see the baliwood angle but the music STILL dosent fit.

DONT open with the waiter. open with the girls being bored. or somthing.

Way to harsh with the hero girl stting down again. she needs to be standing. it breaks continuity. Dont break the fourth wall ither.

its not ready for air but it has promise. AND trim it down to thirty!
